The Grape Diet For Fast Weight Loss – Is It For Real?

They say the grape diet is great for losing weight, and with it’s antioxidant properties, it also helps to clean out the blood and kidneys. At last, is this a diet that really IS healthy?

Grape DietI always knew that eating fruit was good for me but I had no idea that the humble grape had so many good qualities. It’s perhaps worth mentioning that you should not confuse the grape diet with the “grapefruit diet”, which is one diet that I have never tried, so I can’t recommend or endorse it.

Grapes are known for having great healing properties. They contain vitamin A and vitamin B, iron, calcium and phosphor, to mention a few. They detoxify the body, and have been known to aid cancer victims, and help relieve other conditons too. The healing properties of the grape, and grape extract, endorsed by modern science, have been highlighted in “The Grape Cure”, an ebook written by Johanna Brandt, in which weight loss was reported to be the major side effect.

Great news indeed for anyone looking for fast weight loss, albeit temporary.

So what initially started off as a natural colon cleansing and cancer treatment grew in popularity over the years as more and more people were experiencing the awesome and varying benefits of the “grape cure diet.” At least, that’s what they say.

Benefits Of The Grape Diet??

Just some of the ‘supposed’ benefits of The Grape Diet are …..

  • Lose weight fast
  • Lose 5-10 lbs in a week
  • Have more energy
  • Need less sleep
  • Feel better, and younger

This is not a diet for long term weight loss, but it is okay for anyone just looking for a quick solution for shedding some pounds, for example, if you’re about to go on vacation, getting married soon, have an important interview coming up, or you just want to look the absolute best you can, albeit for a short period. In my case, I did lose 4lbs, although at times I felt weak and sickly. After just over 2 weeks, I had put that weight back on.

They say it will also stop you from feeling sluggish, and help you sleep better, by cleansing the body which may be clogged up with eating too much junk food. PLEASE NOTE: The Grape Cure is not recommended if you have Diabetes or Blood Sugar problems, Candida, High Blood Pressure or other diseases. Check with your doctor before trying.

About The Grape Cure :

The Grape CureThe Grape Cure by Johanna Brandt, is a mono diet, restricting food intake to one food for a period of time. She goes on to say the benefits of restricted diets is that they are remarkably effective in healing illness and restoring optimum health.

According to the author, this diet can also be very effective in treating early stages of cancer while the patient still has a fair amount of weight and vitality. The grape cure can get several times more cancer-killing nutrients into the cancer cells than normal cells.

Is this list of healing properties for real?

Is The Grape Diet Worth The Effort?

Grape Seed Extract is well known for containing an impressive amount of anti-oxidants, including Resveratrol which helps natural weight loss and increases energy levels. Okay, I concede that healthy individuals who are willing to eat grapes, and nothing else, for 3 to 6 days can lose weight, but THE WEIGHT LOSS WILL NOT LAST LONG!

To be fair, it doesn’t promise anything more. It’s an extremely short term diet that offers a quick but temporary solution, and nothing more. If that’s all you’re looking for, then by all means give it a try, but if you’re looking for a more solid, safe and permanent weight loss solution, there are a few on this site that will serve your needs much better.

Despite the impressive claims, as one who has tried it, I can only offer an opinion based on my personal experience. The weight was back on after only TWO WEEKS, so no, I would have to say it wasn’t at all worth the effort. I believe you would be much better going along with a PROVEN DIET SUPPLEMENT that WILL help you to lose weight, AND feel healthier.
